We are pleased to share that the Classical Liberal Arts Academy has successfully completed its Mid-Cycle Progress Report with Cognia and has been confirmed for "Continued Accredited" status with no further actions required. Since our Accreditation Engagement Review in 2023-24, the Academy has made significant advances in its institutional systems and student assessment practices. Among the developments reviewed and commended by Cognia's evaluators: 1. The Academy completed a comprehensive mapping of its entire K-12 curriculum, now publicly available at classicalliberalarts.com/curriculum, providing a formal documented foundation for our program that reflects the full scope and sequence of classical liberal arts education from Kindergarten through Grade 12. 2. The Academy implemented a complete system of real-time student progress reports and transcripts, giving students, families, and the Headmaster immediate access to accurate academic records at all times. 3. The Academy deployed an AI-powered grading system that evaluates student work upon submission, applying a consistent documented rubric and generating immediate, detailed feedback on every assessment. 4. The Academy established a formal partnership with Academic Excellence to offer voluntary California Achievement Test administration to enrolled families. Dozens of students have participated, with results consistently showing students performing two to three grade levels above their enrolled grade at the 98th and 99th percentile nationally. These developments reflect what the CLAA has always pursued — genuine, substantive educational excellence grounded in the classical liberal arts tradition.
